Beat It Drum Sheet Music
is there a good way to practice counting beats on drums?
im starting drums, i can play on a set tempo with no problem, but i have trouble keeping the tempo steady when no music is being played and i’m just reading notes off of the sheet music. getting good at keeping track of the time is essential to me, as i’m interested in lots of progressive metal and other genres with funky time signatures.
so it’d be helpful if you could tell me a way to get good at keeping pace in my head, reading beats off of sheet music, and getting used to odd time signatures (though you dont have to answer all of these questions; any advice is appreciated!) thanks!
